HOW WE PROTECT YOU

Data Handling, Cookies, and Account Security at 0il

We apply layered security and clear retention rules to every account on the platform. Here is exactly what we do and who to contact when you want something changed.

Data We Collect

We collect your name, contact details, payment identifiers linked to UPI or Paytm, and session activity logs. We do not sell this data to third parties and do not share it beyond what is required to process transactions or comply with a lawful request.

Cookie Policy

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep your session active and analytics cookies to understand how pages are used. You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time through the cookie preference panel accessible from the footer of every page.

Account Security

All account data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3. Two-factor authentication is available and we recommend enabling it from your account settings page the first time you log in.

Data Retention

We retain account and transaction records for a period required by applicable financial regulations. Once that period expires, personal data is either deleted or anonymised. You can request early deletion if your account is closed and no legal hold applies.

Your Right to Correct

You can request a correction to any personal data we hold about you by submitting a request through live chat or email. We aim to process corrections within five working days and will confirm in writing when the update is complete.

Escalation Contact

If you are not satisfied with how a data or policy matter has been handled, you may escalate to our compliance officer by emailing the address listed in the full privacy policy document available in the help centre.

Your Policy and Rights Questions, Addressed

Below are the questions our users ask most about terms, data and account rights. If your question is not here, reach us through live chat or email and we will respond within five working days.

Accounts registered with an Indian address are governed by Indian law. The specific jurisdiction and applicable courts are set out in the terms of use document. Where Indian consumer law overrides a contractual term, the statute takes precedence automatically.

Yes. Submit a data access request via email or live chat and we will compile a copy of all personal data linked to your account. We aim to deliver this within five working days of receiving your verified request.

Close your account first, then submit a deletion request through our help centre form. If no legal hold applies — such as a mandatory financial record-keeping period — we will delete or anonymise your data and confirm this in writing.

Payment identifiers linked to UPI, Paytm or PhonePe are retained only for the period required by applicable financial regulations. After that period they are permanently deleted. We do not retain card or wallet credentials beyond what is necessary for transaction verification.

Every revision is published with a date stamp on the terms of use page. We also notify you via the email address on your account. Continuing to use the platform after a revision date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Raise the dispute through live chat or email with your account reference and the relevant transaction details. Our compliance team reviews disputes within five working days and will communicate the outcome and any remedial steps in writing.

Access to our platform depends on local law and is available where local law permits. The data rights available to you may vary depending on the jurisdiction from which you access the platform. Where you are in a supported region, the terms applicable to that region apply.
